Sen. Marcos Comes Voluntarily at the INC Rally

MANILA, Philippines—Senator Imee Marcos stunned the public at the Quirino Grandstand on Tuesday, November 17 when she came voluntarily and accused President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., her own brother and the first family, of being addicted to drugs.
“Kusang dumating si Sen. Marcos sa rally, ‘di kami nagbigay ng imbitasyon” Romulo Feliciano said, the official speaker of INC.
Sen. Marcos pleaded for him to seek immediate treatment during an Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) protest rally against corruption. The senator also implicated First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos in her allegations, adding that she convinced her brother to marry Liza so he could change his behavior and have a direction in his life
“Ever since Bongbong and I were kids, the family already knew about him,” Imee said during the Iglesia ni Cristo rally with around half a million in attendance in Manila on Monday evening, November 17.
“Back then, because our father was still around, he wasn’t my responsibility yet. As he grew older, it became more concerning. I knew that he was using drugs,” she added.
Additionally, Imee claimed that Marcos Jr. became more addicted after marrying the First Lady, claiming that Liza is a drug user as well.
She also accused the presidential children, including Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos, of using illegal drugs. Imee claimed that the First Family is also asking her children and other relatives to use illicit drugs.
Imee called on her brother to “come home” and seek treatment.
“Hinihingi ko na tayo ay umuwi na. Mamahinga. Alang-alang sa iyong kalusugan. Kaya kong mabigo at mawala sa ’yo ang posisyon pero hindi ko kayang mawala ka sa amin. Ayusin mo ang sarili mo. Magpagamot. Alisin ang droga sa iyong sistema,” she said.
Imee said her relationship with her brother grew more distant after Bongbong won the presidency in 2022. Aside from official events and gatherings with their mother, former first lady Imelda Marcos, she said she avoided being with the First Family due to what she described as “blatant drinking and use of cocaine and other illegal drugs.”
Imee said that the alleged illegal use of drugs by the President caused the “flood of corruption” and wrong decisions in government.
